Things have to change in education. We are tying the one size fits all approach for students, but they are unique individuals where one size doesn't fit all. They deserve better.
This excerpt is one of my all time favorites! I play it in my workshops for educators as I truly feel we must stay abreast of global trends, stats, and projections.
I am elated you embedded it here as it should inspire educators to continue to give the gift--education! It is the most precious of all gifts that truly can't be stripped away when all else can!
This clip plus the clip that ACU provided us that depict the montage of Hollywood's portrayal of classrooms. These two have stuck with me and continue to inspire me to be a better educator. I also watched Lean on Me this weekend. I had never seen it before. I was truly touched! What a man Joe Clark is!!! As I googled him, it dawned on me he had visited my former district, and I saw him! What a refreshing story!
I wanted to add to my comment but can't figure out how to revise to add more...I also love the music. It is so catchy, and I find myself humming it. When I hum it, it conjures up the stats and the challenge to strive beyond this world today. It reminds me to continually cultivate true problem solvers in an autonomous light and through interconnected networks.
I truly believe we are blessed to be in this amazingly quantum program at ACU as it is truly cutting edge. We are trendsetters!
